Since the former model (under Apartheid) was exclusion and segregation, which created false perceptions laden with incorrect myths about each other, THE INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS’ foundational doctrine is; the most relevant kind of freedom is to be who you really are (there can’t be any large-scale revolution until there is a personal revolution on an individual level). THE INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS believes it’s got to happen inside first! From this point, we can move towards creative transformation.
